It depends on the condition of your lawn and what we’re working with in terms of soil, weather, weeds, pests and the treatment we are applying. Some lawns will get great results after just one visit. But it’s important to remember that even the best lawns can benefit from regular treatments to maintain optimum health and appearance. This is why our lawn care plans include regular visits, to make sure everything stays in tip top condition.
Yes! Our standard lawn treatments are safe for children, pets, native wildlife and the environment. If you need anything beyond the standard treatments we’ll let you know of any precautions you may need to take.

Yes! We need to ask about your lawn and your current maintenance routine as well as your lifestyle, needs and goals for your lawn so we can make recommendations that will suit you!
Our free lawn assessments take around 15 - 30 minutes to complete.
It depends on the season, grass type and how fast your lawn grows! Actively growing lawns may need to be mowed as much as twice a week to avoid thatching and maintain optimum health and appearance. Some grasses need a close mow to stay healthy while others require more length to be left so they don’t get stressed. If you’re not sure, we can come and make an assessment and give you advice on how to best care for and mow your lawn. Book your free lawn assessment here.
In Queensland’s weather conditions we find most lawns do best when they get a good hour long soaking 2 to 3 times a week. Watering bigger volumes less frequently helps to train your lawn to become more tolerant to drought conditions. To find out whether you’ve watered for long enough you want to make sure the soil is moist down to 15 - 30 cms deep.
Watering in the morning is best. The midday sun can evaporate the water and undo all your good work. While watering in the evening can mean your lawn stays wet overnight and develop diseases that thrive in overly moist conditions.
It’s worth considering installing an irrigation system. It won’t just save you time with hand watering but will mean your lawn will never miss out on a much needed watering and will ensure a nice, even coverage of water— leading to better overall health and a better overall look.
But, like anything when it comes to lawns, it depends on so many factors like soil conditions, how much sun and shade your lawn gets, and the weather! We’d love to come and give you advice and can make recommendations for installing irrigation if needed. Book your free lawn assessment here.
If you have weeds or other problems with your lawn it’s best that you don’t mow right before a treatment as we want to be able to see exactly what’s happening before we get started! We can discuss this with you when you get your free lawn assessment or make a booking.
It’s best to stick with your normal watering routine, no need to change anything up!
We would love to see you and speak with you about your lawn in person if possible. But it’s not strictly necessary. If you can’t be home for your visit, we’ll leave a service summary at your front door (or send it via text or email, based on your communication preference selected). We’ll also email you with details about the services we’ve performed and how to care for your lawn to get the best results after we’ve left.
We need to access your property, so make sure you keep your gates unlocked (or leave us a key).
We love your furry friends but they don’t always love us. And they can actually get in the way of our work, so we ask that you lock them inside on scheduled service days.
Don’t panic! When we treat and control your weeds they’ll die away and leave bare or even brown spots on your lawn but healthy grass will soon reclaim the spots where the weeds used to be. Your lawn will only be patchy for a short period of time. If you’re at all worried, get in touch and we’ll come straight out to take a look at what’s happening.
Typically you’ll start to notice the difference within 10 to 14 days. You’ll know your treatment is working because you’ll start to see your weeds wither, discolour and twist. It’s important to know that every weed is different, and some are trickier to get rid of than others and may need multiple treatments or specialised products to get rid of them completely. If you don’t see a difference within 14 days, give us a call and we’ll come back and make a plan to get it sorted.
Lucky you! Our lawn treatments actually work better if there’s a bit of rain before or after they’ve been applied. Water is one of the most important parts of a healthy lawn. If you’ve had a treatment the rain will help carry nutrients deeper into the soil and down to the roots. And you don’t have to worry about the treatment washing away as whatever hasn’t already been absorbed by your grass will be watered into the soil.
Weed control requires a complex application of treatments over time. Weeds have different growth phases. Pre-emergent treatments target and prevent weeds from growing after germination. Some weeds in your lawn might not have germinated yet and so they won’t be controlled using pre-emergent, but they can be targeted with post-emergent treatments. We find that continuing weed control treatments every season and year is the best way to maintain your greenest, lushest and most weed-free lawn.
This is completely normal! Weeds grow at different rates depending on their lifecycle, and because it can typically take 10 to 14 days for weeds to start to die they might grow a little first. And yes, they may get a little boost from the lawn treatment during that growth phase. If your weeds don’t start to die after 14 days, give us a call and we’ll come back and make a plan to get it sorted.
We recommend waiting at least 48 hours to mow your lawn after a treatment to make sure your nutrients have plenty of time to do their thing. We’ll make sure you have all the aftercare info you need, including watering and mowing instructions, when we finish up your treatment.
Yes! To get the best results we recommend watering your lawn for a full 30 minutes the day of your treatment. We’ll give you specific aftercare instructions, including watering and mowing, when we finish up your treatment.
We recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before walking or playing on your lawn to give enough time for the treatment to fully dry. Temperature and humidity will impact how quickly it will dry, so keep an eye on it.
