The beginnings of Greenest Lawn Co were seeded long before the company was formed.
Bosses Sean and David played soccer together and were mates for years before they decided to combine their business savvy and horticulture smarts at Greenest Lawn Co. The history they share means doing business together is a joy. And it shows in the care, commitment and enthusiasm they bring to their work every day.
Although it’s Sean that has a background in horticulture and landscaping, it was actually David who first experienced a fanatical lawn obsession when he decided his family home was going to have the greenest lawn in his street.
Sean quickly followed suit, and a friendly rivalry began.
Soon, their footy banter over beers was overtaken with talk of seeds and fertilizer, pests and bugs, mowing frequency and edging techniques.
Over the years, and as their passion for their own lawns grew, they began to notice that the lawn industry in Brisbane was lacking genuine care, service and expertise.
The idea to join forces and create something truly special in lawn care became impossible to ignore.
Finally, at the start of 2021, and with the unwavering support of their wives Angela and Laura, David and Sean launched Greenest Lawn Co.
Their love for lawns apparently knows no bounds. From playing soccer together to a shared love of golf and now in business too, they are always surrounded by green.
And as for who won the friendly lawn rivalry between the two? Well, let’s just say, Sean and David both have the greenest lawns in their streets.
An outgoing and driven self-starter with 8 years of absolute lawn obsession under his belt, David is the business-savvy brains behind the Greenest Lawn Co team.
13 years running a successful cleaning business teaches you a thing or two about what’s important when it comes to taking care of clients— and their homes. This experience gave David an unwavering commitment to customer service and care. And it’s this commitment, along with the exceptional outcomes the Greenest Lawn Co delivers, that keeps clients coming back for more.
Sporty, active and the life of any party, he brings the same energy and enthusiasm to his work at the Greenest Lawn Co.
David describes Sean as the hard-working smartie pants scientist of the Greenest Lawn Co team. And if Sean’s experience and credentials are anything to go by, he’s not wrong.
Sean has a Diploma in Horticultural Science and a Certificate III in Landscape Construction. He completed a notable internship at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and has held professional horticulture roles across the globe from London to Ireland to Canada and now Brisbane.
To say he’s a green thumb is somewhat of an understatement. Along with his smarts, Sean also brings an infectious energy and fun-loving humour to the Greenest Lawn Co team, in fact, David and Angela’s kids call him “Silly Sean”.
Greenest Lawn Co would not be the business it is today without the dedication, leadership and practical support that Angela provides.
From sales to client care to admin to bookkeeping to marketing— Angela is involved in every aspect of the work that goes on behind the scenes at the Greenest Lawn Co.
With her smart, straightforward and practical approach, she is the driving force that has brought David and Sean’s big ideas to life in the form of the tight-knit family business.
A qualified architect with an eye for design, Angela enjoys every aspect of the property world. And her dream is to travel to Europe and visit famous and historical architectural sites.
Organised and in charge, Laura is hands on with Greenest Lawn Co’s admin, marketing and social media.
A bit of a clean freak, she’s also very involved in keeping the mowers and machinery spick and span.
David and Sean both say that it’s Laura and Angela who are the real bosses at Greenest Lawn Co. But being boss doesn’t stop Laura from rolling her sleeves up on site and jumping on the tools whenever she’s needed.
When she’s not in uniform getting her hands dirty, you’ll find Laura swapping out steel caps for heels and expressing her creativity and love of fashion with her clothes and outfits.
